'Nightfall' by Asimov and Silverberg provides the conceptual depth, focusing on how subtle, external influences can shape decision-making (in this case, consumer purchasing decisions). 'Inception' offers the layered reality metaphor: just as Cobb enters dreams within dreams to plant an idea, our AI will operate on multiple levels of data to subtly influence price points.
